For nonprofits

The benefit gala, without the platform's cut.

Hospital foundations, shelters, scholarship funds, arts organizations. Your donors buy tables to support the cause — a percentage fee on that generosity is the wrong line item.

Percentage fees scale with generosity

A $250 benefit ticket pays the same platform percentage as ten $25 tickets. The more your donors give per seat, the more a percentage-based platform takes. A flat dollar doesn't scale against you.

Sponsors are half the revenue and none of the tooling

The gala's economics run on sponsor tables — but most ticketing tools model sponsors as a ticket type with a big price. Sponsors deserve their name on the table, literally.

The board asks where the money is

Funds held by a platform and paid out after the event are a treasurer's headache and a cash-flow risk. Money that settles to your own account as tickets sell is neither.

How Tavolina handles it

Sponsor tables with the logo on the map

Sell or assign sponsor tables, put the sponsor's logo on the public floor plan, and hold VIP tables for major donors and board members.

Your money, in your account, as it sells

Checkout runs on your organization's own Stripe account. Payouts follow Stripe's normal schedule — typically about two business days in the US. We never hold your funds.

The development office's paper trail

Every order, refund, and comp in an audit log; attendees and orders export as CSV straight into your CRM. Donor data stays yours.

What it costs

On a $250 benefit ticket:

Tavolina's fee
$1.00 — the same as on a $50 ticket
Percentage of your ticket price
None
Card processing (Stripe's standard rate, ~2.9% + 30¢)
≈ $7.55, billed by Stripe to your own account
Setup, monthly, or listing fees
None

For comparison at published rates (2026-07-15): Eventbrite's 3.7% + $1.79 service fee plus 2.9% processing totals roughly $18 in fees on the same $250 ticket.

Tavolina charges nonprofits a flat $1.00 per paid gala ticket regardless of ticket price — no percentage fee — with sponsor tables and VIP seating built in and all ticket revenue settling directly into the nonprofit's own Stripe account.

Questions, answered

How much does gala ticketing cost for a nonprofit?
A flat $1.00 per paid ticket on Tavolina — no percentage of the ticket price, no setup or monthly fees. On a $250 benefit ticket, that's $1 to us versus roughly $18 at Eventbrite's published rates (verified 2026-07-15).
Does Tavolina hold our funds until after the event?
No. Checkout runs on your own Stripe account, so ticket money settles to you as tickets sell, on Stripe's normal payout schedule. We never hold funds.
Can we sell sponsorship tables?
Yes — sponsor tables are built in: sell or assign them, show the sponsor's logo on the public floor plan, and hold VIP tables for major donors.
What if we have to cancel the gala?
Refund buyers from the dashboard, full or partial. We return our $1 fee on every refunded ticket; Stripe keeps its processing fee, which is their policy and we say so. If you lose a chargeback dispute, we return our full fee too.
