Terms of Service
Welcome to Tavolina. These terms are an agreement between you and Tavolina ("Tavolina", "we", "us") covering your use of our ticketing platform and website (the "Service"). By creating an account, buying a ticket, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these terms.
The Service
Tavolina lets event organizers sell tickets and tables, manage seating, and check guests in. We provide the software. The organizer is responsible for the event itself.
Your account
You must give accurate information when you create an account and keep it current. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in secure. Sign-in is by single-use email link; do not share those links.
If you are an organizer
- You are responsible for your event: its description, dates, pricing, delivery, refunds, cancellations, and compliance with the law and any venue rules.
- You must connect a Stripe account to accept paid tickets. Your relationship with Stripe is governed by the Stripe Connected Account Agreement. Ticket funds settle into your own Stripe account.
- You are the controller of your guests' personal data. Handle it lawfully, use it only to run your event, and honor guests' privacy rights.
- Your content must not be unlawful, deceptive, infringing, or harmful.
If you are a buyer
- Your purchase is a contract with the organizer, not with Tavolina. The organizer sets the event terms and refund policy.
- Refunds are at the organizer's discretion, not Tavolina's. Whether, when, and how much to refund is decided by the organizer under the policy shown at checkout. When an organizer does refund a ticket, Tavolina returns its own per-ticket fee; card-processing fees are set and kept by Stripe.
- Tickets can be reassigned to another guest up until the transfer deadline the organizer sets for the event; after that deadline the guest details are locked. Each ticket admits one guest and may be void if resold in violation of the organizer's rules.
Fees
Tavolina charges organizers a flat fee per paid ticket, shown on our pricing page. Free tickets are free. Card processing is charged separately by Stripe at its own rates, billed to the organizer's Stripe account. We do not add a percentage of the ticket price.
Acceptable use
Do not misuse the Service: no unlawful, fraudulent, or infringing activity; no attempts to break, overload, scrape, or reverse-engineer the Service; no using it to send spam or malware; and no selling tickets for events you are not authorized to run.
Intellectual property
We own the Service and its software, look, and trademarks. You keep ownership of the content you upload, and you grant us the limited license we need to host and display it to run your event.
Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or close an account that violates these terms, creates risk for us or others, or is required to be closed by law. Fees already incurred remain payable.
Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that any event will sell out or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tavolina is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or revenue. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months before the claim.
Changes
We may update these terms. If we make a material change, we will post the updated version here and revise the date above. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept it.
