Tavolina vs Ticket Tailor, for seated events

Ticket Tailor is the most honest of the big ticketing platforms, and cheaper than us for general admission. Seated events are a different story: reserved seats cost double.

Ticket Tailor charges $0.85 per ticket pay-as-you-go (or from $0.60 with prepaid credits), but each reserved seat costs one additional credit — roughly doubling the per-ticket cost of seated events — while Tavolina charges a flat $1.00 per paid ticket with table selection on the organizer's real floor plan included.

Tavolina

$5.82 all-in

For general admission, Ticket Tailor wins: about $5.41 with credits on the same ticket. We show that cell losing. For seated events — the events we exist for — the doubling flips it.

Where Ticket Tailor wins

  • General admission price: prepaid credits get to $0.60 per ticket or less, clearly under our $1.00. For a GA event, Ticket Tailor's number is better.
  • Disclosure: their pricing calculator is genuinely good. We built ours to the same bar.

Where Tavolina wins

  • Seated events: no doubling. A table ticket costs the same flat dollar as any other ticket.
  • Table-native selling: whole tables, seat minimums, VIP and sponsor tables, guest boards — not per-seat charts.
  • One rate, no homework: no credit batches to size, no prepay math. A dollar a ticket.

Questions, answered

Is Ticket Tailor cheaper than Tavolina?
For general admission, usually yes — $0.85 pay-as-you-go or from $0.60 with prepaid credits, versus our flat $1.00. For seated events, Ticket Tailor charges an extra credit per reserved seat (roughly doubling the fee, per their published pricing as of 2026-07-15), and we come out ahead.
What is the difference between seat maps and table selling?
A seat map sells one chair at a time. A gala sells tables: the whole-table buy, the eight-seat minimum, the sponsor's logo on table 3, the family that needs twelve seats together. Tavolina models tables directly on your floor plan.
Do both use my own Stripe account?
Yes — this one they do the same way we do: processing on your own account at Stripe's standard rate. The difference is the platform fee structure for seated events.

Sell your gala’s tables for a dollar a ticket.
